Techno Farm Fukuroi
Increasing consumer needs for food safety and security. A shortage of agricultural workers due to a declining birthrate and aging population. Unstable food supply due to frequent extreme weather events. Techno Farm Fukuroi was built to solve such food-related issues, and is a fully automated artificial light plant factory that can produce 10 tons of lettuce per day, the largest in the world, by managing and controlling the cultivation environment.

The declining birthrate has led to a decrease in the number of generations to take over the care of graves. Especially in urban areas, it is becoming increasingly difficult to build and continue to care for graves. In order to provide peace of mind for the deceased and those left behind in their important afterlife, we are proposing a new lifestyle called "urban burial."

Yamagata Design Resorts (currently LOCAL RESORTS Co., Ltd.) operates the lodging facility "SHONAI HOTEL SUIDEN TERRASSE." The company believes that agricultural landscapes, local crops, and food are important tourism resources, and Yamagata Design Resorts has entered into a business partnership with the company. The company plans to create hotels based on the concept of "agriculture" all over Japan, creating a model for regional revitalization that is unique to Japan, a country with abundant agricultural resources.
