1. Basic Policy
ES-CON JAPAN (hereinafter referred to as "ES-CON JAPAN" and each of the consolidated subsidiaries listed in ES-CON JAPAN's securities report hereinafter referred to as "Group Companies") will handle personal data appropriately in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations, the guidelines of the Personal Information Protection Commission and other guidelines.

3. Acquisition and Use of Personal Information
When acquiring personal information, ES-CON JAPAN will publicly announce or notify the purpose of use (including the public announcement under this policy), and when acquiring personal information directly from the individual (meaning a specific individual who can be identified by personal information) in a contract or other document (including electromagnetic records*), the purpose of use will be clearly stated in advance and acquired by lawful and fair means. ES-CON JAPAN will use personal information appropriately within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use (however, if permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, personal information may be handled beyond the purpose of use). ES-CON JAPAN will not use personal information in a manner that is likely to encourage or induce illegal or unjust acts.

ES-CON JAPAN will take necessary and appropriate safety management measures to manage personal data, including preventing leakage, loss, or damage. We will also provide necessary and appropriate supervision to employees and contractors (including subcontractors) who handle personal data. Safety management measures for personal data are specifically set out in separate internal regulations such as the "Personal Information Protection Management Regulations," the main details of which are as follows:

①What is personal information?
"Personal information" refers to information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, etc., and information that includes a "personal identification code." "Personal identification code" refers to physical characteristic data such as fingerprints, DNA, and facial structure, as well as official numbers assigned to individuals, such as My Number, passport numbers, and driver's license numbers.

"Personal data" refers to personal information that constitutes a "personal information database, etc." A "personal information database, etc." refers to a collection of information, including personal information, that is systematically organized so that specific personal information can be searched for. 6. Joint Use of Personal Data
ES-CON JAPAN will jointly use the personal information of "Customers, etc." described in "4. Purpose of Use of Personal Information" above as follows.

(1)
- Other parties (e.g. life insurance companies, non-life insurance companies, banks) and contracting parties (e.g. advertising distribution companies) with whom Chubu Electric Power Co. Inc., Chuden Real Estate Co. Inc., ES-CON JAPAN and group companies carry out business for the purpose of "4. Purpose of Use of Personal Information" above.

We will use the information jointly within the scope of "4. Purpose of Use of Personal Information" above.

ES-CON JAPAN will be responsible for the personal data that is shared. For ES-CON JAPAN address and representative, please see 2. above.

7. Supervision of Employees and Contractors
When ES-CON JAPAN has employees handle personal data, we provide necessary and appropriate supervision to such employees to ensure the safety of such personal data. Furthermore, when ES-CON JAPAN outsources all or part of the handling of personal data, we provide necessary and appropriate supervision to the outsourcee to ensure the safety of the personal data entrusted to us.
8. Provision of personal data to third parties
ES-CON JAPAN will not provide personal information we have received to a third party, except in the following cases:
- When prior consent has been obtained from the customer, etc.
- When outsourcing to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use
- When required to provide by law
- When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent
- When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of healthy child development, and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government entity in carrying out legally required duties, and obtaining the customer's consent may impede the performance of said duties
- When providing information to those listed in the scope of joint users in 6 above
9. Ensuring accuracy of data content, etc.
ES-CON JAPAN will endeavor to keep personal data accurate and up-to-date to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use, and to delete such personal data without delay when it is no longer necessary to use it.
10. Disclosure of Retained Personal Data
When ES-CON JAPAN Ltd. requests disclosure of personal information (including disclosure of records of provision of personal data to a third party) pursuant to the Personal Information Protection Act, we will disclose the information to the customer without delay after confirming that the request is from the customer (we will notify the customer if the personal information in question does not exist). However, this does not apply if ES-CON JAPAN Ltd. is not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations. Please note that a fee (1,500 yen per request) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
11. Correction and Suspension of Use of Retained Personal Data
ES-CON JAPAN strive to keep personal data accurate and up-to-date.
If an individual requests that the details are inaccurate, etc., we will confirm the details and then correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") the retained personal data. In addition, if an individual requests that we suspend or delete (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") the use of retained personal data because the retained personal data that identifies the individual is being handled outside the scope of the purpose of use or because the retained personal data that identifies the individual has been obtained illegally, we will suspend the use of the retained personal data after confirming the details and if the facts related to the request are confirmed.
In addition, regarding the provision of retained personal data to third parties (including the "joint use" described in 6 above), we will stop providing such data upon request from the individual after confirming the details. However, please note that if the use of retained personal data is suspended, there may be services that cannot be provided. Requests for correction or suspension of use of retained personal data are accepted at the inquiry desk described below.
12. Reporting leaks, etc.
In the event that personal data is leaked, lost, damaged, etc., ES-CON JAPAN will make the necessary reports in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations, and will notify the person concerned of the occurrence of the incident or take any other measures to that effect.
