Biodiversity
policy
In order to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, ES-CON JAPAN Ltd. group will minimize the impact of our business activities on the natural environment, actively work to conserve and restore biodiversity, and aim for a net positive state (a state in which our business activities avoid or minimize losses to biodiversity and also create a positive impact). Recognizing the conservation of biodiversity as an important issue, we will nurture rich ecosystems in local communities through our business activities, increase the value of natural capital, and fulfill our responsibility to pass on a healthy global environment to future generations.
Main Initiatives
Development that makes use of existing trees
Developed in collaboration with Chuden Real Estate, SEVENS VILLA KARUIZAWA seeks to create homes that coexist with the rich nature of Karuizawa Minamigaoka, and by preserving the existing trees on the site, such as red pines and maples, as much as possible, the development blends in with the local landscape and contributes to the preservation of biodiversity. All seven homes also feature private gardens, and the design harmonizes the buildings with nature. Furthermore, the common areas feature a "Villa's Corridor" (walking path) designed to evoke a stroll through the forest, with pedestrian and vehicle separation providing a safe space where visitors can fully enjoy Karuizawa's nature.

Contributing to the conservation of local biodiversity
At Le JADE Tsukuba Station Front and tonarie Tsukuba Square, which ES-CON JAPAN developed, we aim to preserve the local biodiversity and maintain and protect the ecosystem of native species. After researching the vegetation of Mount Tsukuba, which is known for its rich natural environment and diverse flora and is a symbol of Tsukuba, we carefully collected seeds of precious local plants such as the Japanese laurel tree and the Eupatorium tuberosum, and then lovingly cultivated and actively planted them on the site.

water resources
policy
ES-CON JAPAN Ltd. Group recognizes that protecting and efficiently using water, one of the most precious resources on Earth, is essential to contributing to the realization of a sustainable society. We recognize the global water shortage as an issue, and are promoting efforts to reduce and conserve water usage, thereby fulfilling our responsibility to pass on a healthy global environment to future generations.
Main Initiatives
Introduction of water-saving equipment
We actively employ water-saving devices to reduce water consumption in properties developed, owned, and operated by ES-CON JAPAN, as well as properties operated and managed by ES-CON JAPAN group.

Returning rainwater underground and preventing rainwater runoff
At Le JADE Honkawagoe Coedo Terrace, which was developed and sold by ES-CON JAPAN, rainwater storage tanks have been installed to make effective use of water resources. In addition to helping prevent road flooding and river overflow during heavy rain, the water can also be used for flushing toilets when the water supply is cut off.
Rainwater seepage into the ground
At Le JADE Honkawagoe Coedo Terrace, which was developed and sold by ES-CON JAPAN, permeable pavement and trenches are used at the entrance approach. By returning rainwater to the soil as much as possible, it contributes to preventing natural disasters.
