Initiatives to Reduce
1. Reduction of general and industrial waste emissions
ES-CON JAPAN group recognizes that reducing waste emissions and disposing of them appropriately are important environmental issues.Even as we expand our business, we are working to reduce our burden on the environment by promoting the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle).
2. Case studies
(1) Installation of collection boxes for the clothing and miscellaneous goods resource recycling service "PASSTO"
"PASSTO" is a system that promotes resource circulation by collecting unwanted clothing and miscellaneous goods and reusing (reusing and recycling) them in the most optimal way. We contribute to resource circulation by installing collection boxes in commercial facilities that ES-CON JAPAN develop and operate.
Our parent Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc., has a business partnership with ECOMMIT Inc., the provider of PASSTO, and is participating in the initiative as a group company.

(2) "Eye City Eco Project" - Collection of empty contact lens cases
This activity aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by recycling empty disposable contact lens cases that would normally be burned as garbage. The recycling of collected empty cases is used to support the independence and employment of people with disabilities, and the proceeds from the purchased empty cases are donated to the Japan Eye Bank Association. ES-CON JAPAN have supported this activity since October 2018 and have continued to collect them. We will continue to promote efforts toward the SDGs and make efforts to contribute to local communities.
